KILO BRAVA: launches new line

In Tampa, FL, former Cosabella Head of Design Kristin Bear clicks the launch button on her new lingerie website while cradling her brand new, 2 day old baby girl. The definition of a powerhouse working mom, Bear was determined to create an inclusive line of ethically produced, quality lingerie at an affordable price-point. After a lengthy tenure in intimate apparel, her own label, KILO BRAVA, was born- alongside her daughter Ruby. KILO BRAVA is a uniquely transitional intimates & loungewear brand, with cozy but stylish cross-over pieces that transition well from stylish layering pieces to wear to work, to sexy but comfy loungewear for the home. As a mother of two, Bear’s mission is “to make others feel confident and beautiful at an attainable price”- think silk pajamas you can both flip pancakes for the kids or sip champagne like a queen in.

Offered in sizes S-XXL, KILO BRAVA boasts “attainable luxury”, offering embroidered lace lingerie starting at $34 and luxe satin loungewear starting at $60. KILO BRAVA’s launch rolled out four impressive collections- a soft brushed rib, luxurious embroidered mesh, delicate lace, and luxurious printed satin. Inspired by 60’s “it girls” and retro silhouettes, the KB aesthetic is that of muted vintage hues and to-die for animal prints. The campaign lookbook was shot in a mid-century design home with femme-bot-esque models rocking bouffants, cat eyes, and of course, KILO BRAVA. Bear reports her inspiration for the shoot and collection itself comes from 60s & 70s style. “This was a time where women were really starting to forge their path- where they could be powerful and do big things, but be gorgeous as heck at the same time and just own it all. It reminds me a little bit of what we are going through right now as women.”

On a mission to empower women with confidence everywhere, the KILO BRAVA collections are available in both select retail stores and online at For lingerie retailers, KILO BRAVA brings uniqueness to stores. The prints are original, the embroidery is hand-rendered, and bold graphics are meant to catch the eye. One store in Laguna Beach that carries the label created quite a stir with a whole window display designed around the KB zebra print. Online shoppers are treated with special care and reverence, their orders are packaged in a pretty branded box with hand drawn tissue paper, full of delightful surprises of stickers and confidence-inspiring notes- and sometimes a free gift!
