FREYA: MAKING STRIDES IN SUSTAINABILITY

23 January 2020

Part of Wacoal Europe, Freya is dedicated to producing the most fashion-forward, vibrant and fabulous fitting lingerie, bra-sized swimwear and activewear around. The brand focuses on DD+ with product that goes up to a U.K. K cup. For the AW20 season, and in effort to progress their ranges in a more sustainable direction, Freya has introduced the use of sustainable materials into the designs of some of their lingerie and swimwear styles.

For lingerie, the Festival Vibe collection is made using sustainably sourced lace. The colorful crochet-look lace features Q-NOVA®, an innovative yarn that has been created from waste material from the textile industry. The Festival Vibe aesthetic is inspired by the fun festival season. Available in a variety of styles, wear the UW High Apex Bra (28-38”; D-H) under either an off the shoulder outfit or sheer top to show off its fashionable detailing. The collection is also available in the UW Deco Molded Plunge bra (32-38C, 28-38D-G, 38-36GG), Short (XS-XL) and Brazilian (XS-XL).

In the swim category, Freya also introduces the new Freya swim range Coco Wave, which uses a fabric with a SEAQUAL® YARN that is created from upcycled marine plastic from the ocean. This range also features oversized ring details that are made from a natural by-product of coconut.  Available in a Soft Triangle Bikini Top (30-36”; D-G), this lightly padded style gives shape and support. Wear this with a choice of Bikini Brief (XS-XXL), Brazilian Brief (XS-XL) and the High Waist Brief (XS-XXL). Also available in the range is a flattering one piece Soft Plunge Suit (8-16) as well as an UW Non Padded Plunge Bikini Top.
